ROLLING STONES - Hackney Diamonds LP (colour vinyl)

Well... really surprisingly good. The prospects weren't good. Firstly, The Rolling Stones hadn't released a really appreciated album since 1981. That is a looong time. Secondly, some early reviewers noted that the Stones were, perhaps even desperately, trying to sound contemporary or younger than their actual age. This may have had something to do with the producer, Andrew Watt.

But Hackney Diamonds is weirdly good. Some have claimed that this is the Stones' best album since the early 1980s or even 1978.
