Too Pure
mclusky - The Difference Between Me And You Is That I'm Not On Fire LP
Highest recommendation.
Heavy last album - until the new one - that doesn't lose any of the ill-humour of old.
Features Bob Weston of Shellac, as well as being the only band in the world that Steve Albini liked. Probably.
This album is their best, it is much more 'put-together' in that the running order makes sense, links in well with everything and is a great listen.
They just hit you with filthy guitar tone after filthy guitar tone and never let up. They've got the studio and albini on the boards and everything sounds clear and nasty while it rips your face off like a belt sander, with some fine melodies and even harmonies to nod along to as your exposed nasal cavity loudly sucks air like a broken sump pump.
This band are the best thing to come out of Wales.
