Highly recommended.

The soundtrack is better than the remake of the film.

The album that keeps coming to mind when listening to this is not Goblin's soundtrack for the earlier Suspiria (even though there are some musical nods by Yorke) but Damon Albarn's score to Ravenous.

The parallels between these two soundtracks are striking in many ways, both in terms of their background - a British rock musician transitions to soundtrack composing for the first time within an alternative horror movie - and musically in the repetition of motifs and the eclecticism of the styles being explored.
