MIGHTY CAESARS - Acropolis Now LP

One of the best of Billy Childish's bands deliver one of Billy's best records.

Now, I haven't heard all Billy's records, (he's put out at least a hundred, probably more) but I've heard some of all his different projects... they don't really differ greatly; they all have a garage rock base with a dash of mod (Buff Medways) or blues (Wild Billy Childish and The Chatham Singers), or in the case of the Caesars, a bit of '76/77 snotty punk.

I've always liked my garage with a bit of a snarl, and this is a prime example. "You Make Me Die" is fantastic because a) the title is cool, sounds like something from Back From The Grave; b) Billy sneers some awesome lyrics at his unnamed nemesis in the song.
