Never is Forever end up being one of those "fascinating failure" albums. It's definitely both interesting and good enough to be worth a couple listens, but they didn't quite hit what they were going for, and the layered, thoroughly arranged songs turned out to be impossible for the scrappy young punks to replicate live. History has forgotten the first two Turbonegro albums, but they remain fairly interesting for the curious.
