The pint-sized, so-unhip-she's-cool chanteuse sings in a husky french drawl, a sort of cross between Brigitte Bardot and Carla from Coronation Street. It's not a technically great voice (there's no real range) but she IS a great singer. And her material is superb.
All these songs are short, perfectly realised retro-style pop tunes or ballads. If you didn't know otherwise you could be forgiven for thinking they had been recorded in 1967/68.
