In the 16 years between albums, it sounds like Bongzilla has hardly missed a step. Ever since they reached the full realization of their heaviness, psychedelia, and love for samples, they've continuously refined the riffage template that served them so well on that album while still carving out new directions to take their sound into.

On Weedsconsin, Muleboy trades guitar for bass, and without a second guitarist to add to the dense-as-bong smoke sound, the overall tone is bassier and filled with more low-end, carving out a newer, warmer direction for the band to spend 43 minutes riffing over.
