This era may have seen Swans mellowing in their studio songwriting, but goddamn, this documents the fact that they clearly lost none of their live noisy intensity. It's also interesting to hear the variety of different arrangements of material we're o-so familiar with.
A worthy document of 'Children of God'-era Swans with the intensity of the earlier records.
Seek out the vinyl version, it has a powerful rendition of "Our Love Lies," which is absent from the CD version.
