In The City was the album with which The Jam announced themselves to the world. Paul Weller was just 19 at the time and used the album as a outlet for his teenage frustration. The title track was the only single to be released from the album. There were also two covers: the Larry Williams blues tune Slow Down and Theme from Batman. Reissue LP on Polydor.
