Like any great Ubu album, the band examines the reciprocity between the making and unmaking of musical forms. The album is a reminder that David Thomas is likely the only legitimate heir to Captain Beefheart.
The album is as extreme as anything Ubu has recorded and should hold an important place in the canon.
