400 BLOWS - 3-19-98 LP
Highly recommended.
We weren't previously familiar with this California trio but now, we're BLOWN AWAY by the sonic assault of 3-19-98. The name is wholly appropriate. The band's fiendishly garage, meat 'n potatoes metal lands like a series of fierce punches to the head.
The chafing, full-frontal attack of 3-19-98 is engorged with the kind of dense noise, unforgiving feedback, and larynx-corrupting vocals that are powerful enough to hurl you through a brick wall.
Guttural, blaring riffs seep from every infected pore of 3-19-98, a record consisting of eight shredders that will leave you punch-drunk. If you are not in good enough shape to deal with them, get the hell outta the ring.
