If you’re privy to the influence of synth on today’s post-punk, then you’ve already familiarized yourself with Digital Leather.

Comprised of members of Lost Sounds, Destruction Unit and The Faint, these guys know how their way around a mysterious synth hook you won’t soon forget.

With minor use of guitars and bass, the album still sounds very full, where frontman Shawn Foree’s less than cheerful wordplay serves not to drag you down but compels you to sing along in a dreary yet upbeat fashion.
