In any context, this album is an absolutely timeless crossover punk classic. Exene had no vocal ability at that time, and producer Ray Manzarek's added keyboards were a bit much, but the peerless power trio and the Exene/John Doe songwriting tandem and harmonizing were desperately needed. A must.
