A fine live proposition, recorded, their sound is only slightly more contained. The dynamic is a play-off between the pulverising polyrhythmic percussion and the melodic interplay of the munchkin vocals, keyboards, guitars & effects. At times seeming to contain elements and influences from Progressive rock, Jazz-fusion and Ethno (say African Hi life or Brazilian batacuda, the diversity of their experimentation seems to know no bounds. Ok, the vocals may sometimes grate but overall their sound is grounded in a kind of heavy, funky grind.
