This album is a pretty unique mix of R&B and psychedelic rock, produced by Curtis Mayfield, complete with very soulful covers of "California Dreamin'" as well as "A Change is Gonna Come" to go along with solid original cuts like "Hard Times" (which easily recognizable from the times it's been sampled and used in movies). There's almost a bluesy quality to this songs and Baby Huey has a pretty unique voice and understated personality to his music that'll gradually pull you in. Of course as you can also figure by one of the song covers I already mentioned and the fact that Curtis Mayfield is producing that there's somewhat of a socially conscious theme going on here throughout the songs.
