Back Jack was a hard rock trio (1971–1974) and later a quartet (1975–breakup) from St. Louis, Missouri. They released one 45 during their time active on the obscure Missouri label World Concept and recorded some tapes that were never released until now.

The music is like if Blue Oyster Cult and Lynyrd Skynyrd had a child, and said child was raised by Grand Funk and Led Zeppelin with Uncle Poobah and named Back Jack!

This is hard and heavy hard rock with mild progressive and psychedelic influences, very much in the vein of the five bands mentioned.

What a blessing Riding Easy found these tapes and gave them a proper release!
