BLACK FLAG - Slip It In LP

A great album. Juvenile lyrics keep the title track from being recognized as the epic masterpiece that it really is. Everything else about this album is fantastic. Driving guitar work and Rollins' bellowing vocals work in unison to propel each song from Henry's fist to your face. There aren't any typical quick 1-2-3-done punk tunes on this album. This is hard rock without pretense. This is not metal. This is punk, but punk like no other. As much like the Stooges as like Minor Threat, but not like either.
