I Have the Gun starts proceedings; a propulsive sea-shanty with a middle section that sounds like a hostage negotiation gone bad. The Sly Persuaders is a slinky lounge tune sung by a world-weary prophet disgusted that his predictions have come true. The Dolphins and the Sharks is a beautiful, swooning, filmic mid-tempo ballad tinged with desperate longing and regret. Motherless Child is like a punk blues reimagining of Ennio Morricone.
