Durand Jones and the Indications released one of the best soul records of 2019 with a throwback to the Chicago sound, but on their latest they abandon that, going for a later era with some lush smooth soul and a little bit of disco thrown into it. Wonderfully produced, the arrangements are top notch on each song with vocals that drip with feeling.
