First-time-ever reissue of this amazing minimal-synth/No Wave album, originally released in a small pressing in 1981 on the NYC label, Infidelity. Jody Harris played guitar in NY punk-funk titans, The Contortions, while Robert Quine is well-known for his guitar work with Richard Hell & The Voidoids, Lou Reed, Matthew Sweet, Tom Waits, etc. Escape was recorded in Quine's apartment and is a mixture of freeform guitar freakouts and pulsating, minimal beats c/o a cheap drum machine. Highly recommended to fans of Suicide, Contortions, etc.
