This double album was a much-need kick-in-the-ass for both country music and music in general.

Every once it awhile, we have to be reminded to remember our roots, and that's exactly what the Cohen brothers did with this epic of early American music.

Songs like "Keep on the Sunnyside" and "You are my Sunshine" will make a sad person smile, songs like "Down to the River to Pray" and "Oh Death" will make a sinner pray, and songs like "In the Jailhouse Now" will make anyone want to learn how to yodle.

Very, very good idea for a soundtrack.
