Pissed Jeans is growing up so fast. Four years and a kid each hasn't done much to turn those frowns upside-down, however. These guys are still paranoid, angry and seething at the opportunity to fuck up your ear-drums. Honeys isn't watered-down, really, as much as it's more streamlined. It's still sludgy-hardcore, but those extreme moments of either almost unlistenable full-on assaults or those crawling slow songs that feel like walking without legs aren't present with as great a force. The band has found ways to either combine those elements or at least make themselves a bit more bearable. Honeys is as listenable as Pissed Jeans has ever been, but that is quite a relative description.
