Stunning Luxury takes the themes that made their debut, Come Play the Trees, so great like the Devo-esque chants and the cavernous, motoric grooves and adds delicious new flavours like dubby wobbles and (perhaps) even more aggression. Don’t be fooled into thinking that every song is just one-level or formulaic, however, there are half-speed breaks like on the Monks-y ‘Delivery Van’ or the minimal techno opening with some fat, big beat bass on ‘Three Steps to a Development’.
