STANDELLS - Try It LP

Very solid rock album which really shouldn't be classified as strictly garage as the Standells used some methods utilized by current pop and psychedelic artists of the period. "Can't Help But Love You" is a great example featuring prominent horns. "Ninety Nine and a Half" is a more bluesy number, but shows the cohesiveness of the band. The next two tracks are solid, but the title track and "Barracuda" are fantastic tracks. "Did You Ever Have that Feeling" follows and is a great change of pace, with some very odd sounding guitar work. The closing track "Riot on the Sunset Strip" is a great closing track.
